When the winds of trouble blow

10-52 Voices March 18, 2014

The C3 Leaders devotion is a peer weekly reflection from business leaders related to their journey with Christ. Each weekly devotion will be written by a different author from among the C3 Leaders community, 52 unique authors to be exact.

As we go through this next year together, we pray that these words and reflections will encourage you in your relationship with Jesus Christ.

When the winds of trouble blow

Matthew 14:30

When he saw the Wind boisterous, he was a afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying Lord save me.

The winds of trouble blow into each of our lives.  We all encounter situations over which we have no control and we feel ourselves sinking. When we start to go under the waves we need to call out to the Master of the Wind and say Lord save me! I don’t know about you but when I see people I love sinking I want to reach out and save them.  However I lack the power to do what needs to be done. God has no such limitations. He can calm the sea, heal the sick and pull us out of the waves that threaten us. Don’t you think that a God who loved you enough to die for you also loves you enough to reach down His mighty hand and rescue you when you call out to him?

Dear heavenly Father, I am thinking this morning of my friends who I know are in need of your Hand. Would you reach down and save them from the winds and waves that threaten them today.

Your friend Ralph
