13-52 Voices April 8th, 2014
The C3 Leaders devotion is a peer weekly reflection from business leaders related to their journey with Christ. Each weekly devotion will be written by a different author from among the C3 Leaders community, 52 unique authors to be exact.
As we go through this next year together, we pray that these words and reflections will encourage you in your relationship with Jesus Christ.

Have you ever been called to do something out of your ordinary routine, against extraordinary odds, without any ordinary means? You don’t have the finances to pull it off. You don’t have the people to pull it off. You don’t have the power to pull it off. Somehow though, you know God has called you to fulfill a mission that only God can really get you through.
I have been struck with the life of Gideon in the Old Testament. Seemed like an ordinary guy called to do an extraordinary mission without ordinary means. His call was to attack and defeat over 100,000 enemy warriors with 300 hundred men that he couldn’t choose. The 300 men were chosen for him by God. They passed some kind of litmus test God set up which was very foreign to Gideon. After several dialogue sessions with God, confirming that he was hearing right, Gideon responded and followed the calling to go into war with 300 men against thousands. The results were incredible.
Read Judges 6 and then consider the following:
1. Have you ever been called to do something bigger than you think possible?
2. How has God been speaking to you recently about your power vs. his power?
3. Are you trusting in your resources or in God’s?
4. How can you learn from Gideon’s story in and through your business and all of your life today?
