John Byron, PhD

The letter to the Thessalonians is one of the most practical instruction documents we have. So, since most of us live in the rough and tumble of the marketplace why is there not a commentary that gives practical help on how to do this for the King and Kingdom? That is a question asked of John Byron, one of the leading minds on Paul’s letter to the church in Thessalonica (ancient Greece). His response, “I would love to, can you gather marketplace folks who will help me do that?”
We have a unique opportunity. John has been asked by Zondervan to write a new commentary on Thessalonians. John is looking for real world application. We even hope that this will launch a commentary dedicated to giving tools for those in the marketplace live a life worthy of the high calling of building Kingdom culture in the workplace. November 9th, from 5 to 9 we  will gather for dinner and to begin a journey into this book with John having a special eye to marketplace applications. John will share the background of the book, it’s purpose and context, unpacking it as we go. C3 folks will break into small groups to discuss and then come together to share applications and wisdom. We will pick it up on the 10th at 9 and go to 3.
