The C3 Leaders devotion is a peer weekly reflection from business leaders related to their journey with Christ. Each weekly devotion will be written by a different author from among the C3 Leaders community, 52 unique authors to be exact.
As we go through this next year together, we pray that these words and reflections will encourage you in your relationship with Jesus Christ

This morning I was looking out on the lake in front of our house. The water was perfectly still until a fish jumped. I watched the ripple effect of the waves moving across the lake. It made me think of life and how what we do impacts those around us, both good and bad, far beyond what we might ever imagine. Even though the spot where the fish jumped was the first area to be calm the waves from it continued across the entire lake. What we do might have long since passed but the effects of our actions can continue on.
I can think of sin in my life that is still having consequence in the lives of others. Fortunately, God has also used me in ways that are continuing to have lasting impact in lives that He has touched. Whatever we do has consequence. Sometimes beyond what we could ever imagine.
God has gifted us as leaders and put us in a place to have tremendous impact (to whom much is given much is expected, Luke 12:48). We choose to allow God to use us to have an impact for His eternal purpose. What I love about C3 is that as we meet we can encourage each other in our walk with Christ. When someone stumbles and falls we pick them up. We have each other’s backs.
We need each other and God has called us to encourage one another (Heb. 3:13). So as you start this day I would ask that you pray for the C3 community at large, the staff, the board, and all members. By being a part of the C3 community, living life together and encouraging one another to allow God to use us where He’s placed us, we may have an impact on the community in a way that is far beyond what we could ever imagine or hope for. It can be an impact that can ripple on for eternity.
