Jaime heads-up the Employment Law Department at Brown & Sterling, where she focuses on providing human resources advice and counseling to small to mid-sized employers. Prior to Brown & Sterling, Jaime worked for Target Corporation in Human Resources for both the stores and distribution after college. Upon graduation from law school in 2004, Jaime began her career with the Atlanta office of Ogletree Deakins (an international employment law defense firm). Jaime focused on many aspects of employment law including, but not limited to, employment litigation. In 2010 and 2011, Jaime served as in-house counsel for Regis Corporation in Minneapolis where she advised internal clients on handling employment disputes as well as implemented an internal wage and hour compliance program. Jaime returned to Ogletree in 2011 and last moved to Seattle. Desiring to live and work in the Valley, Jaime joined Brown & Sterling in December, 2014.
Jaime grew up in Nashville, Tennessee, where she attended a Presbyterian church, singing in the choir and participating in youth group. She moved on to the University of Florida (Go Gators!) for college and eventually to Indiana University – Indianapolis for law school (Go Hoosiers!). She and her husband of fifteen years have lived all over the U.S. from Colorado, Indiana, Georgia, Minnesota, and now finally Washington, where her husband was born. They have been active in churches wherever they’ve lived and have a heart for leading community groups focused on families with younger children. They attend Cascade Covenant Church in North Bend with their four children (ages 6-12).
Jaime serves on the Board of Directors for Camp Morrow (a Christian camp in Wamic, Oregon) and is a member of the Leadership Team at her church. She is also a Community Group Leader for her church and coaches track through Si View each spring. Jaime loves to run and with four kids, she’s an avid spectator at Mt. Si Wildcat Junior Football games, gymnastics practices, and soccer games. Now that she’s a Washingtonian, she’s learned to enjoy camping and all things outdoors.
